The only thing that can be surmised from this description is the fact that someone has changed.....

The means by which this change has occurred is detailed by the way a person has symbolically "died"........

The spirit interprets change as death..... especially if it cannot go back to the way it once was.....

Death simply implies that one has changed so much, they will never be the same again.... or rather, the person you once knew, does not act or seem like they used to.......
