For all of those who don't beleive in God, what is your strength your pillar? How can something such as relegion that has been since the begining of history be based on nothing? What are these millions and billions of people believing in; nothing? Their faith is based on nothing?

Well, you were either created or not. No other possibility. Yet I have no idea how to compute the odds one way or the other.

If we were created, then our most noble ideas about love and compassion and mercy and justice must have come from Him. I find that possibility powerfully attractive. If there is no God, then all of those things have no meaning and our lives have no meaning, no purpose and no worth:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher, Nobel Laureate and atheist)

I choose to seek God even without proof just as others choose to reject God even without proof. I seek God because of the possibility of His love. Others choose to reject God because of the authority He would have over their lives.

"For all of those who don't beleive in God, what is your strength your pillar?"
The fact that there is zero evidence to support the idea.

"How can something such as relegion that has been since the begining of history be based on nothing?"
Easy. Way back when, people were ignorant to what we know now thanks to science. Religion just had the good fortune of being there first.

"What are these millions and billions of people believing in; nothing?"
Whether 5 or 5 billion people believe something, it doesn't make it any less absurd.

"Their faith is based on nothing?"
No, their faith is based on what was handed down since the beginning of history (during that bit I talked about earlier).

Yes God does exist. And I am not one for religion, but I am a spiritual Christian. I feel religion drives people away from God because they think once they turn to God they will have to become a water walker. But that is completely wrong, They don't have to change a thing, just work on renewing their mind. Only God can change us. Apart from Jesus we can do nothing. And God most assuredly does exist. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

Aesity means self-existence. Aesity explains the metaphysical nature of God as a purely self-existent being that exists in complete actuality. God is not a being that is created by another god; neither does God create himself into existence. Rather, God has always existed as an unchanging, completely actualized being.

God has his Being of himself and to himself such that he is Absolute being and the definition of existence. Since God’s essence is his nature and God’s existence is the same as his essence it follows that God is existence.

For your faith, I commend you. But for your one sided bias oppinion of the world, i dont like. I am a faithful believer, in a rut, but i am turning my life around now as we speak. For those who dont believe in God, there stregnth and pillar is facts. They base there belief in science and on facts that they are sometimes unsure about. Nobody really knows what is in the vast expanse of the Universe, but one people believe it is space, and another people believe it is the glorious works of God. That doesnt mean that science and religion cant work together. Science can be a sign of the power and grace of our Lord. But these millions or billions of people believe in things, They believe in their family, friends, and children. But they dont believe in God. We who believe in God believe in everything that they do. There is faith in people that dont believe in God. They have faith in science, in family, and in their facts of the world. So again, please if you ask a question, try to stay a little on the nuetral side instead of making assumptions.

actually religion hasnt been since the begining of history, if youll read, each religion was "founded" by someone, at some point, perhaps you mean to say spiritualism has been since thebegining of history? though i must say, im not the most spiritual person ever. and no an atheists faith is based on logic and thought, not nothing. what people are saying when they say your beliefs are based on nothing is, that you have no solid proof, your only claim is to a book, and a few historical things that happened, what they mean is, you cant prove it, yet they can supply proof for thgeir beliefs.

No, god most likely doesn't exist.

Religion is so widely adopted by so many people because it gives people a secuity blanket for life. It gives them a purpose.

Lets take this girl named Sally. Now, little Sally is in high school. She may not be the prettiest girl, nor the brightest in school. But she knows that god has big plans for her, and that all she has to do is accept Jesus as her savior, and she is saved and gets to go to eternal paradise.

Sound too good to be true? Not according to most religions. Getting into an eternal heaven, where there's no pain or suffering sounds nice, right? Well that's why so many people follow it. And many are afraid to step back and question what they've been taught as little toddlers.

But there are some, such as myself, who have rejected god and religion because of a lack of evidence for any of it. My mind doesn't work on the premises that, "If you have faith, you will go to heaven." I require more than that, and since no one has been able to provide any objective evidence for the existance of god, why should I believe it?

"faith" is a placebo for true spirituality; relying on someone else's answers prevents you from seeking your own question.

real religion is not a "pillar" or a "comfort," it is a challenge. It's not about any destination, it's about the journey. Mistaking words on a page for true spirituality is like settling for a travel article about an exotic place rather than going to that place yourself.

millions and billions can be decieved, and can self-deceive. put not trust in numbers.

It is all a matter of faith and belief. And I believe
that "Faith Can Move Mountains".Particularly
I would recommend that you listen to the
following two songs of the 50s.The first one
titled "Faith Can Move Mountains" by Johnny
"Cry" Ray and the second one titled "I Believe"
rendered by the one and only Frankie Laine.
You will find the answer to your query much
more effectively presented in beautiful forms
than the words I may choose to express myself

I do not believe in god, I find it a completely ridiculus idea, however, one can no more say that there is no god, than say that there is, its one of those very convenient (religious truths), its all about faith. But the attraction is this, who wouldn't want a caring concerned "gardian" looking out for them 24/7?
