Massive megapixels do not always translate into better image quality. Go to shutterbug.com and read the article "The Pros & Cons of Pixel Packing" which is in the Nov. 2007 issue.

Although not a "scientific" test, it is worth reading.

The review I read on your Casio seemed to indicate it has a lot os useful features, especially manual control.
