Well, someone made hot chocolate (mom!!) and both my dad and I went right into cause it was cold and well we thought it would be warm or mildly hot but not SCORCHING and so I burnt the tip of my tongue which I thought wasn't that bad but this morning I wake up and it's still sore and feels weird. Will this go away? Anything I can do to make it go away faster? Thanks.

oh wow, that is exactly how i burnt my tongue a few weeks ago. At first i tried putting ice on it (not directly!) and kept eating or drinking as much cold stuff as possible, like ice cream. You can use toothpaste too, by the way, by rubbing it on the sore spot, like lotion. It went away in a few days. It WILL go away, so dont worry.

There's really nothing you can do to make it heal faster. But, if it's any consolation, your tongue is one of the fastest healing parts of your body. It won't take but just a few days and it'll be back to normal. In the meantime, avoid hot drinks. Good luck!

Ice is ok but what I do is that I put toothpaste on it. Rub gently until you have very thin layer. Don't put to much. It will soothes your tongue in few minutes. The rest is up to your tongue to repair itself. Normally a day is enough

It will be like that forever, and if your're lucky it will fall off.

Just kidding, give it a week or two and it will go away. Try chewing gum or sucking on ice cubes.

Don't suck on an ice cube!! it will swell like overpopped popcorn!! Just leave it alone and let it heal naturally!

Let it heal by itself. Yeah, it will hurt for a pretty long time, but it will fix itself. Try not to drink anymore of that cocoa! :)
