if u have seen it when the woman loses her memroy can that really happen?......and if she stays up the whole day would she still have her memory...i was just wondering this

Short term memory becomes long term memory during sleep, and if there is a problem with that process, then yes. But i don't think she would have been as cohesive or intelligent in real life, considering the extent of such brain damage.

I used to know a guy in a neurorehab that lost his memory every time he went around a corner. I spent some time there as a patient. He was a patient there - had to be reintroduced to his wife every time she picked him up. Made me appreciate a whole lot of things including the meaning of tragedy.

Yes, it can happen. I think 50 first dates is based off of an actual person who has that kind of memory loss.

Yes it can really happen. As for staying up all day I guess she would be okay until she fell asleep. Its not like exactly 24 hours its just when she wakes up that all is gone.

I jsu saw that movie today, it was on T.V. I think she would have her memory if she stayed up all day. Good question

it was a movie, man... and an adam sandler one at that. i dont think they were caring much about it being real.
