I wanted to wear a tube-type dress, but I think my arms are not so flattering.

the best way to choose a dress is to try some (or several) on. your wedding dress should make you feel absolutely perfect and completely yourself. it's worth while to spend a lot of time looking 'til you find the right one!

This is what I suggest to my brides.

Go to a bridal shop (or more than one) and take 2 women you are close to. (or more)

Each of you choose 3 dresses. Do not judge by how they look on the hanger, some dresses look completely different once you try them on.

Then try them on and decide. Most bridal shops have a consultant that can also assist you so if you like some things about a particular dress they can find you some additional styles that are similar.

If you are not comfortable with your arms, then look for a dress that will look good with a shrug, lace sleeves, a shawl or maybe cap sleeves. Sleeves can be added to many styles.

Good luck!

The best way to choose your wedding dress is to go to a bridal store, and try on all different types. Take some pictures from bridal magazines of gowns you do and don't like to give the saleswoman a sense of what you're looking for, and have a general idea of your budget for your wedding gown. But you're really not going to be able to tell what a dress will look like on you until you get it on.

I just posted to another question. Find a dress you like then get the seamstress to make some sleeves. I feel the same about my arms so I went with some off the shoulder sleeves. Here's an example...

Buy a fitted shrug, which come in any sleeve length. My friend did this, she bought a pretty shimmery ivory one that didn't have a collar. Her arms had some excess weight. People have been suggesting shawls, but having to hold them is kinda annoying.
