I know their intent is to not finish under caution, but, this is getting to be a weekly event. I would like to see them finish a race actually racing for a change. How about if there's a caution, say in the last 5-10 laps, stop the lap count and then try it again. Not sure if this is going to help that much, but maybe if they still have 10 laps, maybe the restart will not get so crazy every week. It is becoming obvious that this green-white-checker format is not a good way to finish. What are your thoughts?

I think NA$CAR is more about the almighty dollar than anything else. They $topped giving a $hit about the fan$' opinion a long time ago.

I think people are jsut jumping the gun on the restarts and booting someone in the butt and spinning them out, as thats what happened the past two weeks, and this one, they hadnt even took the white flag yet so technically, I think that they should have had a few more laps to race on, and then maybe Jimmie wouldnt have won. I am getting tired of them finishing the races under caution as well, but I dont see that changing anytime soon, and its all fine if they race all three laps but whats bugging me is when they wreck right after the restart and its over.

My thoughts are: The reason why they have so many cautions in the final laps is because the racing gets more intense. That should be simply obvious to everybody. That's what makes NASCAR so exciting, That's how guys like Greg Biffle get to win a race. That's how guys like Ryan Newman can even get a chance of winning a race. It most definately isn't boring. My thoughts are that the cautions are created out of the most intense racing action. Please do not let your feelings get hurt over the intensity of the final laps. Motorsports are not for the timid!

The green white checker rule was suppose to be the best chance to finish the race under green. The reason they only give one chance to do a green white checker is because once in the truck series they had to finish the race with a green white checker, and they kept crashing before the checker, it took about four or five attempts to finish under green, so after that they decided to have only one attempt. I hate seeing a race finish under yellow as much as anyone, but the current rule is better than what they did before.

I they were to have cation laps not count in the last 10 laps there would be so many cars out of gas that there would be no more race it would be just a hand full of drivers. Look at atlanta for instance. there was 2 cations just in that 10 laps. alot of cars at the end of races are pretty close to empty on fuel because they pit as soon as the know they can make it on fuel. I think gwc is great and so do most of the drivers. the way I see it is if you think its boring go watch baseball or golf.

...It's time for a new rule. The yellow flag finishes have become predictable. The last 100 laps at Martinsville was terrible. I guessed at around 100 laps to go that a lot of those laps were going to be used up by cautions. What happened?

Tired of BS finishes. The race was going to come down too who would take a chance on fuel and who wouldnt then of course a caution comes out. Then Denny Hamlin ruins the race by bmaking the bonehead move of the year and stacks up the field. It ruined what i thought was a pretty boring race anyway though.

I think the problem is nascar keeps bringing in new drivers all the time. Too many of these guys have not had enough time racing in stock cars and are learning as they go. They need to go back to the days where guys would drive in the busch series for a long time before getting a chance in the main series.

I agree with Buckshot.....We would have seen a race end on a caution today regardless. When Hamlin ran out of gas, and they cleaned up that mess the race would have been over. It is at least an attempt to finish a race while they are actually racing.

Well I think the ASA (American Speed Association) started this GREEN-WHITE-CHECKER and now the ASA is defunk and is no more.
Is this the future out look for NASCAR.The same half dozen drivers in the ASA would win with the G-W-C and the same is holding true in NASCAR.
Time to change the system and get equaility into our sport.

Nascar has not been good in a few years. I am tired of the drivers not racing to win every week. In the good old days when I was glued to my seat for the races you saw Rusty and Dale race tuff with each other every week. 2nd place was the first place loser . Also the race was won on the track and not in the pits like it is today. I have not watched a complete race in over 2 years. Nascar has lost its fun and now Money runs it. Boring.
