Short answer is with a scanner.

You can, either, purchase one at any computer or office supply store, or, you can take them to a full service copy shop and have them do it for you. If you have the negatives, many large scale pharmacies and retail stores can also do this serviced for you, giving you the digital images on a CD.

Either scan them to the computer with a scanner, or just take a digital image with a camera. I always take a digital image of paintings I do, for the ease, and along with the cost. Good quality scanners cost a bunch.
