So what is the fix? What is Al Gores idea to fix it? What is the Governments Idea to fix it?
Carbon offsets? Talking about it? Getting in a frenzy on yahoo over it?
I hear a lot of talk, but not much action. For me its just like everything else; be it Welfare, Social Security, Immigration, and the War. Talk Talk Talk and nothing. If they wanted to do something about it, Oil Usage would be done with tomorrow. But that ain't on the Menu...
Your thoughts?

The Earth has had ice ages, they were cooling periods, between them were warming periods. This has been going on for all of Earth’s 4 + - billion years. This all happened before any of the modern day technology came into being and will continue after we are gone.
The Earth is going through a pole shift right now. A pole shift is when the magnetic poles swap polarities. During pole shifts the magnetosphere is weaker and more of the Sun’s rays strike the Earth, this causes extra heating of the Earths surface, and makes global warming more pronounced.
These are natural cycles of the Earth. We puny stupid humans can no more stop or even reduce a natural cycle of the Earth, than the man in the moon. This is 9th grade science, and one would think that scientists and politicians would be better educated, but it seems that this not so, and they could remember 9th grade science class too.
This may just may be another smoke and mirrors propaganda campaign to cover our governments lies and con games. There are so many conspiracies running rampant it’s hard to tell which are real and which are just simple stupidity. The idea we can stop global warming IS stupidity at it’s highest form.

IMO anyone who pays the least bit of attention to Al "The Biggest Hypocrite" Gore is foolish. As long as "The Biggest Hypocrite" continues to use 20 times more electricity than the average family in Tennessee and continues to lease private jets to fly all over the place he should just shut up.
These so-called "carbon credits" (one company selling them is owned by "The Biggest Hypocrite") are nothing but a sham to enrich the brokers.
Suppose we all have 5000 "carbon credits" a year to use. I'm only using 2500 of mine but you want to use more than your allotted 5000. So you buy my extra 2500 and now have 7500 which you use. Please explain how your buying my "carbon credits" and using them helps anything - other than the pocketbook of the broker. Oh I suppose I could claim the moral highground by only using 1/2 of my yearly allotment. It certainly doesn't reduce pollution in any way shape or form.
The less government does, the better. When the government decides what should be done and then HOW it must be done all possibility for new and better ways of doing it are stymied. Why would a company spend resources to develop a better way of reducing pollution when the government agency might reject it?
Several years ago, the EPA directed a refinery to reduce the emissions of benzene by installing scrubbers on its stacks. That was the only location throughout the entire plant that the EPA investigated. After the refinery spent over $1 million there was no appreciable reduction in the emissions. After being threatened with termination, an engineer at the refinery finally convinced the EPA that they were wrong. The benzene emissions were at the loading stations where the gasoline was pumped into tank trucks and barges. The fix was simple and relatively inexpensive. Had the EPA simply directed the company to locate the source and submit a proposed fix money would have been saved and benzene emissions reduced much sooner.

The only way to fix global warming is to find ways to create electricity without burning coal. Most of the US power plants are coal power plants. There is a way to take out most of the CO2 out of coal before burning them, but it will cost a lot of money. Also no power companies are going to build a coal power plant that can do that. BTW China is building coal power plants as we speak, and lots of it. And all that pollution will be blown westward towards the US. CO2 emissions from cars only contribute about a 25% to the total amount of pollution the US makes. Most of it is from coal power plants and factories. Also we need to stop deforestation and start replanting trees. Find cheap and abundant source of energy and you got yourself your global warming fix.

Here's a practical and affordable fix. It won't stop global warming entirely, but it will reduce it enough so that we can cope with the remaining effects. It was worked out by hundreds of scientists and economists from all over the world working together. The core is to reduce burning of fossil fuels.

if what Gore believes in carbon credits. we should spend 10 billion from the U.N. by planting trees around the world.
then ask the Asia population to usel the China population
control method.
if that doesn't work start a nuke war between Pakistan India
Indonesia and China. that will reduce the population.
because only way stop warming is stop breathing
the mention about India and rest was show large population
countries. that the only way reduce population or stop breathing. it was sarcasm

I believe that Global Warming is there. I believe that it is a problem. But I also believe that the government is making it way larger than it truly is.
But hey, that's just me. I don't have any susbstantial proof, but I'll be getting some soon. Just you wait. XD
Still, I believe that something needs to be done before Global Warming becomes as big as the government is making it. What? No idea.

we are able to do an excellent type of issues: cut back using gas like: utilising electric powered automobiles - hydrogen automobiles... we are able to apply public delivery. we are able to plant extra timber. the hollow theory is to cut back carbon dioxide and to do this there is many stuff that we are able to do. in case you want extra info seek the cyber web searching for the question which you asked and you will discover billions of solutions. however the premiere difficulty the cut back CO2 is the monetary one, simply by fact with a view to repair the international warming we could desire to consistently supply up utilising petrol meaning having a worst monetary disaster than the single we already have. Do you quite think of that the enormous petrol companies and massive international places are keen to easily supply away enormous incomes that they earnings from petrol, to repair the international warming?
