Muslim's will quote Yusuf Ali’s comment in footnote 663, as proof that the three early Christian sects of Marcion, Docetism, Basilides, denied the crucifixion of Christ. Given the fact the three sects are condemned as false teachers, deceivers and the anti-Christ in six Bible passages (1 John 1:1,14; 2:22; 4:1-3; 5:6; 2 John 7) My question is: on what basis do you claim they are Christian sects and isn't it as much of a misrepresentation for you to quote these Gnostic sects as Christians who deny the crucifixion, as it would be a misrepresentation for Christians to quote the Baha'i faith as proof Muhammad was not the final Prophet?

It is a bizare claim. Mohamed in fact never believed the Bible was corrupt and told Christians many time they should check their gospel to see that it agrees with what Mohamed said and Jews should likewise check their Torah and he clearly believed that in the checking they would come to believe in the Koran.

and the crucification and resurrection is at the heart of the gospel as Christians have always known . Mohammed being illiterate sadly and ironically could not check the books himself and was under a mistaken belief about what was actually in the old and new testaments not being able to read for himself.

No where in the Koran does Mohamed say the BIble in new or old testaments was corrupt and , in fact, spoke highly of the books of the Psalms, the prophets, the Torah and the Gospel It is ironic because these books themselves are in disagreement with the Koran and leaves the readers of the Koran in an uncomfortable dilemma. Was Mohammad wrong about Christians being able to check their books Was Mohammad wrong about Jews being able to check their books or was Mohamed wrong in the only truth test he gave them. It was a wise test as checking the scripture is but he failed the test.

Muhammad had to base his story on something. On the same gnostic story Jesus is sitting under the tree and laughing "ha ha haa, they did not get me" type of thing. How pathetic.
