it is hard to say it all depends on your body but for the most part it takes years

I think your friend needs help. Getting drunk every weekend is not good for his/her body at all.

Don't forget it's not only the liver, there are many other parts of his/her body is affected by the alcohol too.

thats bad for you! Had a friend who's liver gave out after getting drunk for 7 months straight.

There is no exact time but within a couple of months. Tell her to stop immediately and get her to a doctor to see how damaged her liver is. Good luck! ;)

I truly drink a case of beer a day for the last 20 plus years, And I feel great, I quess it depends on the person....

i've been going strong about 7 years, and mine's still functioning. it's like training for your liver; only the strong cells survive.

It takes a long time, like years.
The problem is as the years go by they usually drink more and more and then make life miserable for everyone around them.

well i started drinking heavily when i was 16 and am now 23, at my last physical i was in perfect health(except for a sinus infection) so i think you can last quite a while, depending on genetics

that's not good, you could get heart failure and your liver isn't going to be going strong much longer
