He'll stop taking it when he is ready. Just keep presenting the sippy with his fav drink inside. One day, he'll use it.
Good luck and best wishes.

My son is 13 months and I have finally succeeded with this! I started giving him the juice sipper spouts on his bottles rather than nipples, (I started this at about 9 months) they fit into the bottle nipple spot. I have included a link to what they look like, I found them at Babies R Us. He was reluctant to take the sippy before trying this and within a month he was using sippy cups during the daytime, but still likes to have the spout at night. you might also try changing the type of sippy cup you are giving your little one, he may night like that kind. Logan is very particular on his cup because the sippy part is so different in all of them. You may have to try a couple of different cups to find out what he likes.

I started giving my son his sippy cup with meals and only gave him a bottle at bedtime... maybe get a sippy cup with handles.. when he was smaller those were much easier for him to hold onto.

throw away all bottles. offer only the cup. it will be hell for a couple days , but eventually the child will accept it. went thru the same thing. giving in only makes it harder in the long run.

Step up and be the parent... take the bottles away and get rid of them all together... offer ONLY the sippy... as soon as he is thirsty enough he WILL drink from it. I mean really... not to sound harsh, but if you give in on something so trivial at this young age.... what happens with the big stuff later on?? Be the parent......

Some people seem to make a big issue with this....i wish everything in life were this TEXTBOOK.

Don't you get tired of everyone saying......all kids are different and do things at different times......if that's true then why are people so nazi like with getting off the bottle.

To the lady who has three kids.... don't judge. Good for you, whatever.

I rushed my son off the bottle and wish I hadn't.
