I "*think"* it's called a miscarriage and happens in anywhere from 20-50% of pregnancies, the majority of the time going unnoticed.
***Wow*** I can't believe how many people are so ignorant they think you're referring to impulsively getting an abortion! This goes to show that the stupidest people scream the loudest and judge the hardest! I'm going to star it just for the tears of mildly sad (saddened by stupidity, that is)laughter I've experienced!

Spontaneous abortion usually happens due to a defects.. It sucks and can be discouraging especially when one is trying to have a child..
Spontaneous abortion is natural selection.. The defective is expelled making room for the non-defective..
Addition: Wow you are correct Ms. Rahi... I thing not only should the hymnals be replaced with dictionaries but also remedial courses should be taught instead of sermons..

If god is so against abortion, then he shouldn't cause so many. A spontaneous abortion is a miscarriage. It happens for biological reasons that we don't always understand. It's horrible to go thru, especially if you want kids.

The devil hates pregnant women because he does not know if one is carrying a prophet or a basher of immoral sinful men. Many a time he is the cause spontaneous abortion.

"Spontaneous abortion" is a miscarriage. Most women who have had one will tell you it is a very sad event.
It is not related to the practice of intentional abortion.

It can be sad, if the people really wanted to have that baby, but it happens. It's a fact of human biology.

I think its heartbreaking. I also think it shows that if there is a god that he is the biggest abortionist of them all, since at least 1/4 of all pregnancies end that way.

I think it happens, like nosebleeds, gas, receding hairlines and acne. It's part of the physiology of being human.
