I just got a pioneer elite vsx 94 receiver and it will not output any video on component, HDMI seems ok, ideas

go under the system menu and select component for out put on your sources and you shoudl be okay, just so you are aware there has been a recall on some 94 recievers for haveing white lines come acroos the video.

Often times, hooking up HDMI disables component on sources. I am not sure of the rules for receivers.

Most receivers only output on 1 type of output, not several. If I am reading the website correctly, I suspect it will convert component inputs to HDMI outputs.

If not, try disconnecting the HDMI cable and using the receiver menu, change the Monitor output to Component.
