NO MORE! Amen to that, my friend!
It's time!
We'll never see that happen with all the bible thumpers in power, though. Seperation of church and state indeed... ug.

Stop b*tching, Christians are what, the 75% majority?
NO MORE bibles in courthouses - I'm sorry, does this offend you? Why should it; you're CHOOSING to be offended.
NO MORE swearing of oaths on religious books - You don't have to... There are other books provided.
NO MORE opening prayers at Congressional meetings - Why? It doesn't hurt. Again, you are choosing to be offended.
NO MORE 10 commandments in front of government buildings - Oh, so we shouldn't have "Do not murder" or "Don't lie in court" everywhere? Would you prefer a society of murderers, thieves, cheaters and liars?
I'll say it again, pathetic losers like you CHOOSE to be "offended" or "outraged" because the US has some old book lying on a desk in court and writes "Thou shalt not murder" on the front of their buildings...
Just ask yourself: Before they removed prayers and caning from schools, how many schools were shot up every decade? I think you'll find the answer is a decimal.

Our courts have just about torn every remnant of Christianity from our nation as it is. God is not going to bless a nation that does not honor Him. I remember the days when I was in school (and later the years I taught school) and we had Bibles in every classroom. The Ten Commandments were on the walls of the classroom, the courthouse, and all public buildings. Congress opened with a prayer. We prayed before lunch at school. We were proud that our nation was UNDER GOD! I never saw a gun at school or in the courthouse. I never heard of a school shooting. The congress actually worked for the people. America wasn't under terrorist threats. We had CHRISTMAS vacation and schools let out on Good Friday. Our forefathers had no clue we'd mess things up so badly.

Absolutely. Especially since all the examples you've mentioned are part of the Judeo-Christian religious system. Kind of pointless to have a Buddhist or Taoist or Muslim or Wiccan swear on the Bible, yes?
"Religion" is not synonymous with "Christianity" although many in our country seem to think so.

Government is based on Religious beliefs.
I don't see this happening any time soon, perhaps
when the anti-Christ takes over the entire world
governments. Our country is God fearing here in
America. Are you sure you know what you are
demanding.Freedom of speech and Prayers
is probably the only reason we are still here.

Why do you feel this way? You might as well get rid of all the rules in this case. Religion and Government I believe sometimes contradict because of so many diverse opinions about it.

-bibles in courthouses, should be personal
-swearing the oath on religious books, that should be kept, it gives people a rationale to be honest
-prayers they should go
-the 10 commandments are more of a generic moral base, they should be accepted

They did this in Australia years ago also taking reference to our Queen out of all legal context. Our legal system has improved greatly with the introduction of the strict Anti discrimination laws protecting "All" Australian citizens.

Then you would have to throw out the Constitution,The bill of rights etc.since it states these are the inalienable rights endowed by a creator.By the way,the idea of separation of church and state was a letter written to a church by Thomas Jefferson to let them know they could practice their religion without prosecution.Over the years it has been misinterpreted,by people whom cant stand an Idea of God.
