Sometimes there's meat, sometimes no. Some have shrimp in them.
"Vegetable" usually denotes that it is a savory dish and not something sweet, or dessert type, like those that contain banana.
If you are vegetarian, be sure to ask if there is meat in it or not.

Vegetable egg roll usually means only vegetables. It's mostly cabbage, carrots and onion all shredded together.

no, it's made of mongo sprouts, carrots, string beans, potatoes or sweet potatoes, sauteed and seasoned, wrapped in a regular egg roll wrapper.
