1. In Genesis God looked at creation and saw it was good. At this time there was no death so there was no need for a temporary hell. So hell did not exist until after Adam and Eve sinned.
2.Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Hell was created according to the bible when Lucifer was thrown out of Heaven.
Jesus talks to Saten and reminds him that he (Jesus) was there when he was thrown out of Heaven.
Many people take this to mean that Saten could not go back to Heaven, but we see in scriptures that he could and did go back before God, not to repent , but to try yet again to cause more trouble, (JOB)
The scripture references for the second death are written here, but I am not really willing to call Hell gone. The scripture states that Heaven and Earth will pass away, but Gods word will never pass away.
We get a new heaven and a new earth in the end, but Hell is not done away with as far as I can see. Eternal torment and separation from God is Hell, and eternal means eternal, so I am led to believe that Hell will continue to exist eternally.

From what I understand,at the moment, Hell doesn't exist. All of the dead are in paradise. The gulf between Heaven and Hell(hades). Judgment hasn't begun yet, so the Book of life and the Books of Judgment haven't been opened yet.
Because of his rebellion, Satan was expelled from his exalted position in the angelic host (Isaiah 14:12; Luke 10:18; Ezekiel 28:17) and will eventually be cast into the bottomless pit of Hades and finally into the eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:2,3,10).

Ahh, very good trick question. The word ark is the same word for the basket that Moses was in. His sister put him in and then watched from a distance until the Pharoah's daughter came and got him. The time isn't specified. You may be thinking of the 3 months he was hidden away before he was put in the "tevat" or ark.

No references for the creation of hell, but there is one for it's destruction. Here:
Revelation 20:14-15 (New International Version)

14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Hell is man's grave, IE, DEATH. I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses. In revalation, chapter 21, verse 4, we read "and I will wipe out EVERY tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be NO MORE"
It [death] wasn't an issue till Adam and Eve turned their backs on God.

there was once a man who received prophecy... and found that if he removed the characters of that prophecy it managed to mess something up... so in time he managed to reach people spiritually on the other end of the prophecy.. where a hole was left... so this man thought up a way he could live for ever... so he began working on it... and eventually inspired the catholic church to do his bidding... the chruch called him god.. and he said we can live forever... the church said ok... for they were all roman... so eventually they began to preach what they were talking about ... eternal life... but then people started saying we are dying... so they came up with the concept of heaven... now they know there is no life after death... but they wanted to prevent a mutiny of their religion... some of the people bought it and went along... but the support of the church wained and the roman catholic church is very strong in violence, bullying murder... they didn't care so when the promise of heaven wasnt enough they added the threat of hell.. to scare those who would other wise find a way to leave the church and so is the tradition of heaven and hell...
