ps3 is better
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
-ps3 supports 1.3 HDMI which has rich colors and xbox supports 1.2 HDMI
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)
- because of the blu-ray's huge space, ps3 will have WAY better graphics than 360
- online is free for ps3 not like 360
- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring
- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it
- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)
- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p
- built in Wi-Fi
- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)
- ps3 has better back-comp except the 40gb
- rumble returns in spring 2008
- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

ps3- 80gb: $499 with motorstorm
40gb: $399 with spiderman 3 blu-ray
xbox 360(premium)- $399
(elite)- $479
if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars, so that means ps3 is actually cheaper

Buy the Ps3. You'll save up in the long run. I was like you this friday and people answerd my question. I bought the PS3 and its great. Its got great grafics and has a blu ray player.Blu ray is to nice. You will never want to watch a plain DVD again. The games are on blu ray disk to. Buy the 80gb version. that the one i got. for $100 more then the 40gb versoin i would rather get a free game double the hardrive Sd chips Ps2 memerycard adapter and ect. PS3 network is free. havent tryed it cuz i just moved i n my house and have no internet in my room. And i cant bring ps3 downstairs.But i enjoyed my Ps2 online. Wifi is good wirless intrenet connection and Ps3 is the true hd console which desplays 1080p. trust me IF u have a good t.v. hook it up and you are set with wonderful grafics. PS3 will have 300 games in spring. PS3 will get rumble back after spring. And it just great. I heard u can install lenux on your PS3 and you can play PC games on it. That mean u can play Halo and bioshock on your PS3. Xbox360 is great console no doubt but i dont think you'll enjoy it as much as the Ps3 especally 2yrs from now. PS3 was bult for the future. Dual layer isnt to good.(XBOX360 uses this) it has very limited memery. Only 9 gb. compired to 50gb of blu ray and in future will maybe have 200gb.xbox is powerful and games will be limited in the future. I know because After halo what other hits will they get unless if it a sequel.SO buy PS3 because even if u play it and you dont like it for waterver reason you can still trade it in for a 360 because the ps3 is actully the more expensive system. so you have nothing to lose.
