Beacuse the Bible says that there will come to be many antichrists in the last days or hour. (1 John 2:18) It was prophesied to happen.

what are u talking about anti christ? and is it bad? do u mean other religeons? what is wrong with other religeons?
can you become tolerant? maybe its because other religeons make more sense than a book of fairy tales called the bible

buddhism makes more sense
hinduism makes more sense and has scientific proof in their religeous text and yet still is tolerant to christianity
islam has scientific proof in the holy quran

have you noticed why scientists dont waste their time on the bible? there is not stinking science in it

christianity has forced their way into people's mind over the years

have you even heard of the spanish inquisition?

well read something other then the bible and open your mind to the world because the narrow mind person you are will not get you very far in the real world

christ is not the only true religeon

as a matter of fact hinduism is being proven true everyday along with buddhism

all religeons are a valid path back to god

so dont even start with your preachings of other religeons worshipping the devil
do u really think we are idiots worshipping the devil? i dont even know what meaning you imply using the word anti christ

this question shows how ignorant you are

What do you consider 'anti-Christian'? It seems to me that conservatives, Republicans, and Christians these days do and say things meant to be outrageous. When they draw complaints, then they say 'Hey, look at how anti-conservative/anti-republican/anti-Christian people are!'

Do you believe, for instance, that our country's founders meant the US to be a Christian country, that they wanted Christian theology to be taught in public schools and for Christians to get certain privileges from government that non-Christians don't get? If you say you do, and I say I think you're wrong, does that make me anti-Christian?

If a Christian posts a question here like 'Why are Atheists so stupid and evil?' and I say 'Didn't your Mom teach you any manners?' is that being anti-Christian?

If someone says that Darwinism is just another religion, or secular humanism is a religion, or that the government is teaching kids a secular religion in public schools, and I disagree with these views, does that mean I'm anti-Christian?

Christians are very politicized these days. Issues that should be argued in the church and in the home are becoming political issues, and issues that -should- be seen as political issues are being touted as biblical issues. Naturally this draws some complaints and protests and disagreements from 'liberals'. Which are deliberately mischaracterized by Christian leaders as anti-Christian.

To be fair some of these people -are- anti-Christian, some very strongly so. But no more than years ago. They just have more opportunity to spout these days.

it's an evolution of mankind. The more answers science can give, the less need for a God, not just Christ, but any other.
By nature, when you know something for real, you want other to think like you, because also by nature, people want to be in groups that accepts their truths.
Religious people are die hard believers. They don't accept the reason, they accept religion.
When non religious meet them, they confront a "no to anything not related to my religion".
When people meet close mind people, (be religious or not) they adopt the attitude "If you are so close minded, then you deserve to be destroyed." In the case of the religious people is by means of God sending the non believers to the hell, and in the case of the non believers, insulting the religious ones.

There's *always* been anti-Christianity. The difference is today, the Inquisition does not hang protesters anymore and "heretics" aren't burned at the stake.

For me, a lot of it is because the Religious Right in America has completely sold out to the corporate-fascist neo-Cons who are atheist to the core, but use bogus piety to pander to the '29 percenters'. When hate-filled, fascist scumbags like Rabidy Ann and Lush Rimjob preach their neo-Naziism with a thin veneer of Christianity over it, I'll bet Jesus is rolling in his grave...

Perhaps because the ole devil knows his time is short and he is trying to ruin anything to do with God. A lot of people have had some really bad hurts and they blame God for it. God doesn't hurt. Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy. He was the most beautiful angel in heaven but decided he wanted to be like God. NO one can be like God. We are suppose to have a God like spirit but we can never be God. Satan can be an angel of light, so we must study the word and know when it's from God and when it's from satan. Satan is loose on the earth and we must pray and watch that we don't fall in his snares. The ones that have are bashing Christians now. They need prayer and God's mercy before it's too late. God knew that Christians would be persecuted at the end. We must stand firm and not turn away and keep our eyes on Jesus. He is our hope and Savior. Let them bash us and it will just make us stronger. If God is with you then who can be against you ? No weapon formed against us will prosper To suffer for God is gain. We may suffer here but when we reach glory we will be rewarded. Some just don't know that this God is ever loving and forgiving, BUT, you have to ask and believe on His son to go to heaven. I pray you will wise up and accept before it's too late. Leave the Christians alone because the time will come when you'll be looking for one to pray for you. I've had it happen many times. If some of these people are so against God then WHY ask for prayer when times are really bad? I bet when our soilders are in a fox hole they don't ask satan to help them. Think before bashing Christians.

It's a reaction to the republicans exhibiting all the worst aspects of christianity. I'm an atheist and was continually appalled for about five years when I saw all the "god bless america" feces draped all over my landscape. You reap what you sow, christians.

Like Deke posted above, it has always existed.

However, I think that the biggest problem facing Christianity today is radical "Christians" who call themselves Christians, but in fact are just hypocrites that preach and do one thing on Sunday, but then turn around and do the complete opposite on Monday through Saturday. Then, people look at this and say "what makes you so much better? you guys are just as ignorant as the rest of the world."

If only *all* Christians practiced the same unconditional love that Jesus did in the Bible, the world would be radically different.

There's a great song by Casting Crowns (well, quite a few great songs actually) called "Stained Glass Masquerade" that really does a great job facing this issue. Here's a part of it:

"The performance is convincing
And we know every line by heart
Only when no one is watching
Can we really fall apart.

But would it set me free
If I dared to let you see
The truth behind the person
That you imagine me to be

Would your arms be open
Or would you walk away
Would the love of Jesus
Be enough to make you stay

Are we happy plastic people
Under shiny plastic steeples
With walls around our weakness
And smiles to hide our pain
But if the invitation’s open
To every heart that has been broken
Maybe then we close the curtain
On our stained glass masquerade"
