So... im 20 and i have an older girlfriend, we are madly in love :) but i know sometimes (rarely) she worries what some other people are thinking of her being with someone as young as myself.

Anyone have any HELPFUL ideas of thinks i could avoid or do to help her, its not critically a problem she loves me like no other and i share the sentiment :) but i obviously would like to make her life as easy as possible...

The 'settling down' issue isn't a problem, we want the same things in life, and we want to achieve them together :)

She doesn't really care what other people think, and id expect that - just its an obvious thing that will bother her for a while and id like to make it as smooth a ride as possible until that time.

she shouldn't care about what everybody else thinks. It's her life and she can date anybody she wants. As long as she loves you , that's all that matters. I too date older women, some much older than me. just don't make it awkward for her and don't bring up the age thing.

I think if she's serious about you then she won't let her worry about other people interfere with her feeling for you.

That being said I had an older girlfriend when I was 24 (she was 31) - we had a great run for 2 years but ultimately we were in different places as she wanted to get married and start a family.

I would just say be yourself and allow her to do the same - you have every right to be your age with all that that means and the same is true for her. With my ex her friends were different and in a different place but we each tried to respect each other's perspective.

Have fun and good luck.

You don't say what the age difference is. But just make her feel secure that you love and are only interested in her. Be yourselves and forget what anyone else may think about this. You're both of legal age, that's all that matters. Age ain't nuthin' but a number!
