Several things are not covered in your question, and they will make a difference in the value. Is the car the 4 door model, or the wagon? You say that it had 140,000 miles on the engine. Is this the mileage on the car, or is it the mileage that has been put on the vehicle after the engine was replaced?
The average wholesale value of the 4 door is only about $225. The average retail value is about $750. If it is a wagon add about $125 to each figure!
The car is 22 years old. Unless you find someone who wants the specific car, it is not going to have much value to anyone!

Suggested Retail $2,325
Private Party $1450-1750
Trade In Value $950-1175
The best thing to remember with used cars is value is in the eye of the buyer. If you are planning to sell the car, you may make more money selling it yourself. But this takes time and effort. If you plan to trade it in, shop around. Get the best quote on a trade in value, and other dealers can match it or come close. I work at a car dealership, and all car dealerships usually pull their numbers for used cars from the same source.

Poster 1 and 3 both gave you good answers despite someone rating them bad. The problem with www.kbb.com is that it only goes back to 87 but that gets you close. www.nada.com is the same way. Poster 3 gave you the numbers right off of kbb it appears. So poster 2 is the one who is all wet.

www.kbb.com will give you the information. Not knowing the options on it makes it hard for anyone to say but that site will give you the numbers after you fill in all the information.
