Some religions even go so far that they change the Bible message so that members do not have to do what God asks them to do. And they call it the Bible!

They cant claim to love God if they wont obey, as God says IF YOU LOVE ME< OBEY ME.
PPL try to say grace will cover all willful, continued deliberate sin. Response to that>> GOD FORBID> remember?
WE are commanded to be like Jesus, live like HIm, speak like Him and obey unto perfection as He did the Father. Blessings come from obedience, and disobedience still elads to curse. You cannot be in Gods kingdom on earth or in heaven, if you dont love God and obey Him and count it all as joy. churches may say that, but thats not what God says. Read the Bible and KNOW just what God says. HE is really clear about it. God bless you again for another great question.

Perhaps they have not actually read the bible.

(Matthew 7:20-21) Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those men. “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

Sadly, their church may pretend that God doesn't have a personal name, and their church may pretend that the King James Version is particularly inspired, in a manner that other bible translations are not. Ironically, KJV is one of the worst offenders regarding including spurious phrases that have long since been discredited.

For example, the disappointing convention of the "King James Version" is that "LORD" (in all capitals) replaces nearly every one of the almost SEVEN THOUSAND occurrences of the Divine Name; the name "Jehovah" is only used in KJV a mere four times.

"The Tetragrammaton" is the term used to describe the four Hebrew characters (" הוהי ") of the Divine Name. The four characters are generally transliterated (that is, a Roman character familiar to readers of English is shown for the sound of each Hebrew character) as "YHWH" and pronounced something similar to "Yahweh" or "Yehowah". It is relatively straightforward to guess how the Hebrew pronunciation "Yehowah" became translated into the English pronunciation "Jehovah" more than 400 years ago.

The King James Version uses the name "Jehovah" four times (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 12:2; 26:4). A few place-names which include "Jehovah" are also left intact (see Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24).

The shortened form of "Jehovah" is "Jah". KJV uses "Jah" at Psalm 68:4, and within the exclamation "Hallelu-jah" (or "Alleluia"), which literally means "praise Jah" (see Revelation 19:1-6).

I agree. Nothing bothers me more than when churches water down the Word of God. None of us are perfect, and none of us keep it fully - that darn sin/human nature issue - but watering it down is just plain wrong.

You're either going to live by it, or you aren't - there is no middle ground. The Bible has quite a few choice words to say about those who try to teach false theology. No thanks!

None of us are perfect, that's why Jesus came, died, and rose again in the first place. But those who try to make it seem that sin is acceptable, just to appeal to more people...well, they'll have more than enough to deal with down the road. It's people like that, that encourage the type of hypocritical behavior that causes people to walk away from churches. Christians aren't perfect, and we don't claim to be, but true Christians do everything they can to follow God's Word.

But the Bible has been changed from what was originally put to what you read it today. You are taught only the parts that are "important" to the religion in which you belong.

All religion is wrong, and all religion controls people.

Just believe in God... and forget the rest.

Constantine created Jesus into a divinity, he was the one who wrote the books. King James changed it even more, and so on and so forth.

What makes you think what you do is the right thing to do?

I can only answer to your question if we say we love GOD and we don't keep his word. Do you know anyone PERFECT on the face of this Earth? The only person that I know that walked this Earth PERFECT was Jesus. We are human, with human faults and thoughts. But........that does not mean that we do not love GOD. It just means we are human. The love for GOD is still there inside of us and it will never leave us ........it is just that sometimes we want to be human. We are spiritual beings trying to be human on this Earth, did you know that? Think about it. I hope this has helped, Blessings.

Oh Nina I think they are trying the best they can. Do your kids always listen to you? If they do you are either incredible blessed or a blind fool. Even if our kids don't always listen to us even though we only want the best for them. We don't think they love us less and I know I don't love them less. I'm pretty sure God has this parenting thing down.

Yours in Christ,

The Land Letter was a letter sent to President George W. It was co-signed by Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Bill Bright, chairman of Campus Crusade for Christ, James Kennedy, president of Coral Ridge Ministries, and Carl D.
