Just ignore it and smile and turn away. If they persist, say "I already made my point. Now you're just proving it."

A comeback response incites an argumentative situation. Why go there? If someone calls you a name, it's best to shrug it off and walk away and keep walking no matter what. It's silly to engage people in their own stupidity. It's a no win situation. Walk and ignore.

"I know you are, but what am I?" It worked for Pee Wee Herman (Wow, am I dating myself or what, does anyone here even know who he is anymore?) I liked the "Wow, that really means something, coming from YOU." and "Said the tampon" too, though I don't know that I could condone them! You can always give them an assessing glare, chuckle a little and just walk away, let them figure it out. After that, stay away from that person, you don't deserve to be called out of your name.

If I were you, I'd just stop talking to that person and never see him again. I wouldn't say anything in response because 20 years from now this person will regret what he said. But if you respond, he will not regret.

Just laugh. Then as you walk away shaking your head with a smile, Ask; Is that the best you got? Then laugh again.

I don't know if there really is a good comeback. Any response that you give will validate the insult because it will let them know that it bothered and/or hurt you. Insults like these are spoken to elicit a reaction. Denying them the pleasure of knowing that their insult has had an effect on you is the most devastating comeback you can give them, as odd as that may sound.

"OK". My husband uses this for nearly any comeback and it works. You just have to say it with confidence as if the attack didn't even phase you. Say it like you're waiting for what else they've got. Works almost everytime. Ok?

Just raise your eyebrows, give them a contemptuous look, and don't respond. Sometimes silence speaks wayyy louder than words.

Depends -- did you just lose at Monopoly, or did you do something the person thought was dumb?
How about, "Gee, that really means something, coming from YOU." And let them figure out what that means . . . :-)
