God saves believers from eternal suffering in Hell through the atoning death and resurection of his son, Jesus.

Saved for what? - Heaven!

For those who want to know what the Bible says about eternal torment in Hell, consider the story that Jesus told about Lazarus. Luke 16:19-31. The rich man continued to suffer, despite having died. The torment is perpetual, eternal, for all the souls who are condemned to Hell - forever. Revelation 20:10-15, 21:6-8; Matthew 25:41 (unbelievers go into the eternal fire with the devil and his angels); Matthew 25:46 (eternal punishment).

Just as there is eternal life for believers, unbelieving souls face eternal death. 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 (unbelievers punished with everlasting destruction). Jesus said:

"And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where " 'their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' Everyone will be salted with fire." Mark 9:43-49 (NIV).

In other places, Jesus referred to outer darkness and a fiery furnace where "there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 8:12, 13:42, 13:50, 22:13; 24:51, 25:30; Luke 13:28. Also take a look at Revelation 14:9-11. Nothing impure, shameful or deceitful will enter Heaven. Revelation 21:27.

This is troubling, but it is better to be forewarned.

A Heartfelt Experience
Somebody was asked how he knew that he was converted. "Why, bless your heart," was the answer, "I was there when it happened!" When Jesus Christ comes into our hearts, we know it, and others will, too.

there are several levels of answers to be given.
in the book of genesis Noah was called perfect in his generation and the only one of three that was saved.

but it also says in genesis that 8 people were saved, howbeit that the koran says there were 86 people saved from the flood.
so you can be saved in the flesh
and you can be saved in the kingdom of God.
you can be cast out of the kingdom of God, and not be saved.

you can be on the rooftop of a house in a flood and die but be saved from the physical pains and you be saved from death if you endure to the end of the conflict.

if you are in HELL and cry unto the lord, you can be saved from enduring hell in the next life through forgiveness and mercy. and live in the spirit free and saved from hell.

repentance from sin, saves us from physical consequences but can cause evil to drown us in torment and tribulations. but the eternal consequences of sin are far greater, so we are saved from eternity and everlasting tribulations and consequences.

God doesn't save people from anything. Only you can save yourself.

God saves us from the power of sin over our lives as well as the eternal penalty of sin at the end of our lives.

This is not a complete question because God/Allah can save you from anything, if he wills.

For those that say that He saves us from Hell and death...

Tell me, prove there is a Hell, and prove that we truly die eternally.

Good question I have often wondered this myself.

I see naturally you got no straight answer, just a bunch of lame and lazy bible cut and pastes. Oh well, nice try.

Themselves.....from the clutches of the ego-self which is in the realm of nothingness, which lives in eternal torment by virtue of its nothingness...
