Hi Ana Bell!
Well I do this every year. My dog and penned in the kitchen while the kids come, if they come. I have all candy well out of their reach. I go outside with my dogs for all potty calls the entire night until last call. The next morning I check the yard for any candy the kids may have thown away or wrappers and any pumpkin pieces that may be there. Then I allow my dogs out to go pee. It has worked for me even if I get no kids here at all. You just never know when you may have a trickster in the neighborhood!

Hope this helps!

I'm keeping my dogs in the basement, away from the trick-or-treaters and the candy. No costumes, no fuss, just me, the two dogs, and some tennis balls. It should be a fantastic time.

ETA: funny misspelling - I think you mean "wrappers," although I'm sure some rappers (musicians) are also toxic to dogs ;)

Hi AnaBell !

Way cute photos (esp the mini doxie), thanks for sharing ! !

My dogs will be in their crates in the back room this Halloween.... and we will for sure be checking the sidewalk the morning after for things the dogs will want to eat but can't.
