Killing Fleas on Your Cat.?

I just sprayed my cat with some flea spray and now under her neak im seeing red stuff. What is it?

You really should use "Advantage" flea medicine. sprays and powders are prehistoric methods for killing fleas. ;)

Unless it was Frontline spray, you really should be using it.

The red stuff could well be from damp flea dirts. Flea dirts are flea poos, i.e the digested blood from fleas. If there are a lot of dirts they'll all be dissolved in the spray and be appearing wet now.

If the product you've used is from a store, don't expect it to work. Pet stores aren't licensed to sell the proper chemicals for flea treatment - anything you find in store is just going to be a basic pesticide that you can't expect to work. Please get your flea treatments from vets in future, they're safe and they work.

If you notice ANYTHING adverse happening to your cat like lethargy, trembling, going off food, vomiting, diarrhoea etc, call a vet immediately.

Your cat is probably allergic to it, stop using that kind of flea spray. Call your vet and ask for her advise on what kind of medicine to give your cat. Buy a flea collar, give your cat a flea bath or ask your vet about Frontline.

get frontline the fleas were falling off my cat! LITERALLY!!! and ask your vet about the red stuff it might just be an allergic reaction to the spray or the fleas. hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, take her to the vet and they will probably tell you all this junk and like sjow them where the cat is red and he will give you a treatment or tell you something.

well she may be having a reaction or it may just be the fact the shes been scratching there.
