Huh? The race leader was in front. It wasn't the flagman's fault that the leader ran out of gas.

People must be really reaching when the conspiracy about Hendrick starts including the flagman! With most of the answers people post I am shocked they can even find their way out of a parking lot after a race.
The flagman has one job.... wave the flag when NASCAR tells him too.... that's it! And unless he grabs the wrong flag, it is a pretty simple job! But you go on believing that the flagman and Hendrick have some secret agenda..... maybe it was the flagman who put water in Hamlin's gas tank too?
Maybe someone forgot to put the water in all the other cars that beat Jeff Gordon? I knew we couldn't trust that flagman to do it right!

I believe that the flagman had no presense of mind! Not alone in that total lapse of conscienceness he perhaps contributed to,or was a victim of, a major brain fart that smelled-up the entire county! The final hour included so many brain-dead f-ups that perhaps this race will be scrutinized for years to come-with little sense made of what took place-for generations!
