How can some fundies believe that somethings are the "Signs" of the "Devil?"
Like for Harry Potter for example. They believe it supports Satanism. There is no evidence becuase I've read all seven of them and found nothing there that relates to religion of any kind. It's just a frickin' book for people to ENJOY!
plus with other things like the superstitutious "666" being the sign of the devil is silly. There is nothing in this world that has anything to prove Satan is real. If you are going to count "Exorcism", believe me that is just mental illness, poisoning, and psyhical illness. Or someone is just starving for attention.
Another thing, if "Satan" is real, then why do you think he's evil? Just because your bible says so? I believe the whole concept of "the devil" is just to scare people from not believing in "God"

the Harry Potter bit is just the latest in a string on nonsense: before that, it was Star Wars and Dungeons and Dragons. Fundies are just plain scared of imagination.
The Christian Satan is just an all-purpose scapegoat, and a way to attack/blame anyone different from them. It's a rather dishonest way of adding a second "evil" god to an otherwise monotheistic system.

In the Harry Potters books it deals with witchcraft--- This is evil, how do you expain a book that has withstood centuries and is still the same? It took 1500 years to compile the bible and the theme is the same through all time. If you watch christian t.v. you will learn that things are being unearthed that proves without a shadow of a doubt that the bible is true. secular t.v. doesn't report this due to controversy. The red heffer has already been born and waiting. this was to be before the end. snails that were extinct have been found. these are to be used in the new temple that jesus will sat in. study and learn. for many years i fought it because i didn't want to give up my fun. finally i learned that i didn't have to give up fun. i have more fun as a christian. also, i gave up the choice of burning in hell for all eternity. the pain is more severe than you have ever experienced and it lasts forever and forever. There's no turning back. either accept jesus and wait for the rapture or don't and wait for the anti-christ and take the #666 in the palm of your hand or in your forhead You'll remember your loved ones---. in heaven. either way you will split hell wide open with no hope of getting out. yet, you mind will remember all the times you had a chance to repent and didn't..in heaven there is no pain, sorrow, nor regret. no one will remember the loved ones that didn't make it. I pray for your soul and pray god will touch your mind before it's too late. bless you

I think that alot of fundies believe that it's a work of the Devil because of the magic used in it. It's a common misconception that Satanists cast spells.
I haven't seen any proof of Satanism in Harry Potter. I actually hate the books and movies myself but not for the same reason as fundies do. I just simply find them boring.

Well the Bible is the basis for Christianity. Just like the owner's manual for your car. It tells you how to maintain it right? Well the Bible does that for Christians. Listen I'm a Christian and I do not push my beliefs on any one. What ever religion or non religion you chose is your choice. Everyone wants something to believe in. Whether you find the right one or not it's your choice. What scares you from not believing?

there are signs of the devil everywhere u look. the devil and evil are behind murder, all the crime, drugs, and every other bad thing on this planet. obviously u have never read the Bible or else u would know that the reason why the devil is bad, is because he is a fallen angel. he went against God, who is light, love, joy, and mercy, and he became dark, sadness, anger, hate and sin. the concept of the devil is TRUTH, and its not to scare people from believing in God, its to help people put their FAITH in God. get it right.............read the Bible cover to cover before you go making accusations and crap like that. you don't know anything, from the looks of it.

No because it toy's with witch craft and spells.That is what they are talking about.As Christian's we don't believe to open our self up to this ,due to the fact that it creates an opportunity for Satan to plant seeds that it is OK to play with these type of thing's.Yes it is a book and that is the whole idea ,Harmless no Satan play with all types of games to create havoc in ones life.As some one that does'nt understand that . It states in revelations that Babylon the great is the empire of false religion and God tells his people to get out of her, religion is also a sign of the devil, the anti-Christ is made up of many elements.

why is evil or the devil so hard to understand or see... the bible says "Satan shall be called god of earth and he shall be the only one calling himself god." so the great evil of the earth is what the christians call god....

to the christian, the existence of satan as a real person is proved by the fact that the lord Jesus Christ recognized him as such. he referred to him frequently by name
revelation 13:18 tells us, "this calls for wisdom. if anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. his number is 666." somehow, the number 666 will identify the antichrist.
