Why can't you have at least 2 of them becuase I can see ending it on the last lap but on the second to last lap just amazes me on how nascar doesn't want to put on a good race.

First off, I would think since at the end of a race NASCAR seems to have a lot of accidents on restarts that if you kept trying to have a green white checkered flag AFTER the actual number of laps were over, the race might last too many laps after the scheduled number of laps were supposed to be ran. This would not be fair especially when it comes to fuel mileage. That is already a "con" against running laps over the scheduled number. To run another 5 laps of caution and then Green white checkered....... oh wait, another caution.... so another 5 laps or so of caution.... green.... Ummmm...... caution again...... and where would it end? 560 miles? I think already bends the rules or however you would say it..... if the race is 500 laps, it ends at 500 laps! LOL Wouldn't you say in baseball more home-runs make it exciting? So why not allow steroids then? The fans would love it. Or in football, make those boys bigger and stronger. Sometimes rules should be there for fairness and true competition, not to please the fans. Maybe next year to please the fans we vote for the 12 chasers and forget the first 26 races?

Technically the race was already over before they attempted the green white checkered.... the number of scheduled laps were over. So when they tried it and it failed, the race was already over as they had already ran more laps than they should have in the first place. Be glad NASCAR at least tries and quit whinning that it didn't work out.

Well, I think they TRY to put on a good race at the end. I think that is the whole reason they have the green white checkered flag. That race would have ended on a caution when Hamlin ran out of fuel and boxed everybody up if not for the green white checkered rule. Jimmie would have won either way.

I guess you never saw the Craftsman race, the one prior to the one GWC limit. That series already used the GWC rule, but had not limit, that every race ended with a checkered flag.

They had 4 to 5 GWC before the race finished. At least one truck ended up on its side, and many wrecked trucks. Drivers were tired, and aggravated that it took so long for the race to be over.

How much fuel do you judge, for maybe 10 extra laps?

I was outside mowing and when I came in I got on line and read on the yahoo live type link that NA$CAR was stalling the re-start so they could have a green white checker.
I know you new people don't like this but they need to dump the green white checker and maybe this kind of crap wouldn't happen. Back in the day they use to red flag the race so they could finish under green never went past what was to be the end of the distance and everyone was OK with it. Today nothing seems to please the newbies I personally think you young-ens by going along with every idiotic new rule NA$CAR has came up with have helped destroyed NA$CAR beyond repair and your going to have to live with it.
I don't buy anything with NA$CAR on it or anything from as many of the sponsors that are involved with NA$CAR.

One guy wants everyone but 5 car left on the race track!! How funny is that.?? I don't care who ya are now thats funny!!

The chase doesn't work I repeat the chase doesn't work!!! Should of left the point system alone.
I glad my NA$CAR season is over.

I think they should park everyone but the top 5 guys and let there be a 5 lap shootout to determine the winner of the race. This way some also ran doesnt wreck and costs us the race.

It is a shame that the drivers often cause the calamity that make this happen--Should have got gas and didnt--knew their tire was rubbing or coming apart and not pitting. This stuff has happened way to much but it is not ALL Nascars Fault!!!
