I give up, since i'm a Jr fan...its like next week what will break..Its just totally weird the entire dang wheel came off the tire looked great....something with the pit crew when screwey somehow..this just doesn't happen in Nextel Cup these guys are suppose to be the best in the world..oh well it is DEI (oops TEI)...Yep, counting the days to next yr...

You can't break a wheel, since the wheel is actually the combination of the rim and the tire. You can bend the rim. Here's what I think happened: Since Junior knew something was wrong , he would have had to have known from a vibration or a wobble. A vibration or a wobble from the tire would mean either low air pressure or a loose wheel from the lug nuts not holding the rim against its hub. If the wheel wobbles from untightened lugs or a misaligned rim, the studs could break off. Therefore the problem points directly at the tire changer, since he was the last person to assemble the wheel to the axle. The tire changer didn't put the wheel on properly.

...That was the first thing I thought but after thinking about it they only changed 2 tires on the last pit stop. Those lug nuts had run a good bit of laps before. The only thing I can think of is he broke the wheel.
...The left rear wheel cam off and they changed the right wheels on the last pit.
...Jr has been jinxed.

Something broke what part who knows--Yes you can break a Racing wheel-- The centers can break out of them and away she rolls could have been this--axle itself just inside the rear end tube-hub bearing--axle bearing inside the rear end tube!!!!
