I have alread asked this question but thought I might get some fresh answers if I ask it again. I am going for an audition next Saturday for Britains Got Talent, I have a very high range but I am not sure what to sing yet. I like things from musicals the most and I am not very good with pop songs. Any ideas?

To the guy Chris B that is exactly what some of my best friends have said and I dont actually care its a chance to go sing for someone other than people at my school. I dont expect to get through but it is an opportunity.

1) whatever you do, don't sing a well known song because not only will there be other people there singing it, but the judges will have heard other versions and will automatically rate you beside the professionals that have sung it.

2) go for something you can connect with - that's what really sells a song, more than a good voice even. look closely at the words, decide what it's about and act it.

What do you sing now? What song is in your heart when you get up in the morning or go about your day? I'd say try to sing that - because since it is next week, you want to be comfortable with it and really love it. Just make sure it shows of the best parts of your voice. I'd also try to gear my songs towards whatever the style is that "Britains Got Talent" seems to like best (although it is somewhat eclectic - didn't an opera singer win last year)?

Well from what I have watched of talent show auditions I would sing whatever song you feel comfortable in, if a song from a musical is what you feel most comfortable doing then go for it. Your confidence will then show in your singing ability.

OH I love songs from musicals! How about Honeybun from South Pacific, it's short, catchy and has comic value.

I am forever singing songs from musicals! Can we be a duo?

Have some dignity and don't even bother. If you really have talent you shouldn't need to go on a trashy TV show.
