Depends on the speaker brand and your car. Sometimes you can enlarge the hole and fit the speaker in there but you also have to check mounting depth because the magnet might hit the window when it goes up and down. Only way to be sure is to take it apart and measure the opening...then compare it to the measurements of the speakers you are looking for. The manufacturer should list the dimensions on their website.

Not very easily, in that car. The factory speaker is mounted in a plastic factory adapter that's angled to match the door panel. It definitely won't take a 6.5" speaker, and the way it's designed, you can't just cut it larger. To install a 6.5", you'd have to fabricate a new adapter bracket that will hold the larger speaker but still fit under the door panel.
