By "group it as a whole" I mean the idea of Muslims ARE terrorists.

Hey, Austin Powers, YES few. I am NOT a Muslim. But even though I do not believe what some do, I 100% respect them. And anyone else. Why don't you learn that. And while we are at it, lets talk about the IRA, the KKK, the Nazi's, the nuts that blow up abortion clinics. Dude, don't to DARE rip on Islam. "Judge not lest thee be judged first" your book says buddy-boy.

Hector, when I say "few", I mean in ratio. I bring up Nazi's IRA and KKK to show Christians have few terrorists also. I mean, there are many. But in terms of ration, very few.

icosrwala? How do you feel I defended terrorism. You are the type of people I refer to. You take something and bend it out of shape. PLEASE tell me who my question or rebuttals condone or defend terrorism.

First off "Dragon Dog", Muhammad Ali is how it is spelled. There are NO quotations because that is his name. Want to call him Cassius Clay? Fine, but even then you need to follow it up with Jr. He didn't like his white Christian name because he was neither white nor Christinan. Do not disrespect the Greatest Heavyweight Champion to ever walk the Earth by saying some reporter made his career. That is just silly and 100% untrue. Let's forget about 3 Championships, Liston, Patterson, Foreman, Norton, Frazier, Vietnam, personal convictions in light of unpopularity, etc... yeah, it was a white reporter who made Ali who he is, lol. You must be joking.

I may be wrong ,but the Islamic world is divided. There is a fitnah on the Muslims as well as the world. The Muslims could have lots of power and influence if there were not so much disobedience and division. The media and terrorism is the result of a much bigger problem that some of us may or may not acknowledge and address. With Islam, I believe that the Muslims are doing the most damage. Time and time again history has shown us that when Muslims are obedient and are not trying to copy or please the non-Muslims, the Islamic world thrived and no one could touch us, because our faith and actions spoke for themselves. But this is not the case anymore. The power and influence is given to the non-Muslims. Look at Muslim Spain, when the Muslims were obedient to Allah, Islam thrived and Muslims and Islam were respected and admired for its contributions. But, when the Muslims emulated the Christians, the drinking, decadence, corruption seeped in and the Muslims power waned. Allah took the power away from the Muslims and gave it back to Christians. Please do not misunderstand what I am saying. I know that some will believe that I am wrong to say this, but i believe that the power comes from within the Islamic community and emanates everywhere, because of obedience. The media and terrorists are I believe the result of this disobedience, and i believe that we are being punished collectively. Islam is unique and special, but I am afraid that there are a lot of Muslims who want to follow in the paths of those who do not necessarily have a clear direction. You can give me thumbs down if you like. That is okay. I am entitled to my opinion. If i am wrong, i am wrong, but i do not believe so.

I don't know if you remember Cassius Clay. He took the name 'Mohamed Ali". There was a journalist, named Howard Cosell that followed his careet from the start. On the air, it would seem that they were adversaries. The fighter, and the reporter. They made each other's careers. One would never have made it famous, without the other. Yes, Cassius was the Champ, probably the best in living memory, but he would be forgotten, had it not been for the mock combative relationship with the reporter.

The issues are the same now, as then; war, peace, militancy, pacifism, bigotry, religion...and fame....

I think it's not useful to try to find "the" most guilty one. There are many things coming together in making this situation worse and worse. For example:

1. The media that are not interested in "normal" Muslims, just in the extraordinary, controversial, dangerous, and so on (that's true not only about Muslims, of course). Media help to form what people think.

2. The common Western man who forms the culture of prejudice and hate, who don't want to read about "normal" Muslims, just about the extraordinary, etc. Media writes what people want to read.

3. Terrorists and other gross misusers of the name of religion.

4. Many Muslim/Islamic leaders who use religion as a tool for evil ends, through teaching a distorted version of Islam, in order to inspire the masses (and terrorists) to violent and hateful deeds.

5. The highly unskillful reactions from certain Western governments, especially the American, which make bad things way worse.

I could continue this listing. Almost everyone is actually included in this list. In the same way, everyone can see the problem and instead contribute to a more fruitful way of shaping the world, through understanding, peacefulness, compassion and wisdom.

I'm going to say the media does a MUCH better job of "ruining" Islam. They have done a bang-up job of allowing people to think that Islam is a hateful, violent religion and that terrorists are the norm. The fact of the matter is this: terrorists are the Muslims extremists. Your regular, everyday Muslim does not think like these extremists and I'm getting really tired of people thinking that being Muslim=being a terrorist.

Definitely the media! Why? It has done a better job at blaming the whole. If there were terrorists and no Media all would say those that commited the acts of terrorism are killers. Not say "oh muslims are bad people" Peace and bless you for standing up, your a good human!

Well in all fairness those 'few' terrorists did kill over 3000 people which resulted in millions being killed. If the media didnt potray it people wouldnt be aware of terrorism. The nazi´s were hyped up in the media, the nazi´s were and so were the kkk.But terrorism is the present battle that we are fighting so people must be made aware of it.Dont ever compare or try to defend terrorism. It is an argument you will always lose.

study the scriptures (quran and ahadith) to boot because of the fact the earliest sira (obtainable from amazon). positioned all which you study and understand into one neat equipment and then reread the lot in context, place and time. then that's beneficial to reassess what you published. Muslims may be stable and a few undesirable however the middle of the undertaking is mohammmed and his quran and what he claims and says interior the ahadith. Is it all of the actuality ? there is basically one conceivable end in case you do as .suggested above. quit listening to what muslims inform you approximately islam. Islam isn't what pupils, mullahs, sheikhs, imams, youtube movies and cyber web web pages or perhaps different muslims inform you. that's what the scriptures say, show and ordain for and to muslims. Just like in Christianity, Judaism, or any group, Islam is injured the worst from people on the inside.

Internal enemies are always more harmful than external ones.

With love in Christ.

I believe the media fuels the flames of this vicious cycle. Also a free recruitment tool.

One bad event happens, the media advertises it, more people do it, wash, rinse, repeat
