Because they're actively seeking to bring about Armageddon, in order to 'fulfill' their book's 'prophecies'.

There is not an apartheid state of Israel--I can not imagine why you would state this question as such unless you are against the Jews. Israel and Israelites have been attacked from the beginning because they are God's chosen people. As someone stated above, those who accept Christ as their savior are also part of that brotherhood now, and the reason that anti-Christians hate Israel and Christians so much. There will be a time that every knee will bend, every head will bow and all will declare that Jesus is Lord. Some will just not be in heaven whilst doing this.

I am not a Christian Fundie. But I support Israel's right to exist. And just because you don't believe something doesn't make it false.
As soon as Muslims stop trying to kill them, I will support unity.
Until then, no. They are right to do it. I like that they do it. And anyone who thinks that Israel shouldn't be there is not to be believed even if they say that the sun is bright on a cloudless day.
You see, I am so fed up with the anti Israeli sentiment that I have polarized myself to be against those who are against them. And I really, really, really, really, like it when the Anti Israeli haters are bothered by that. If that makes someone mad, then I am having the best day I could ever have. I love it that they are bothered by it. It makes me happy! XD

Yes, exactly: they admit they are trying to hasten the End Times.
See Pastor John Hagee.
Now, Hagee's cohorts in the Anti Defamation League are attacking the Tel Aviv newspaper Ha'artez, which has lively editorials and discussion over the Israel/Palestine issue.
And to those who say it belongs to the Israelis, why is it only white converts to Judaism who set upon this political path concocted by Theodor Herzl in the 19th century? These Europeans wedged themselves into the Middle East and say it's their ancestral homeland. Better get the DNA kits ready.
Turkey, with an Islamic majority, has been a secular, constitutional republic far longer than Israel has, and they don't have checkpoints every half mile for Palestinians to get to their jobs.
Nonsense is nonstop from the supporters of Zionism. I know many Jewish people who do not support Israel.
I first saw the term "Apartheid" regarding Israel used by the Israeli dissident Uri Avnery, so for those who want to pin it on South Africa, go do some research.

For the confused people here, Palestine was a democracy, as is Iraq. People seem to confuse the Arab countries with Saudi Arabia. Actually, the Saudis are Bush's bff's. If democracy was so important to us, than why is there no criticism of them? There are worse off people than those whose countries we have invaded, and allowed to be confiscated in the name of "god". Let's see some consideration for the poor people in the Philippines, or the orphaned girls in China. Atrocities happen everywhere. It's egocentric to believe that we police the world, and can pick and choose who needs our help, and when.

Well how is this for a Christian Fundie answer.
One solution you are obviously overlooking is that the other Arab states could offer parts of their land for the Palestinians to live there. So that Israel, that has no homeland anywhere else in the entire world can live where they are now in peace.
Edit: Just read thisisme's post after I posted mine and I can say YOU GO GIRL!

You obviously have an axe to grind and you demonstrate it with your pejorative questions. The dictionary describes apartheid as any system or practice that separates people according to race, caste, etc. The only reason there is separation is that the Arabs have insisted on and obtained land divided off from Israel and desire to have a separate state. A totally different situation than in South Africa.
As far as Jesus returning, what make you think you know if or when he will return? The bible is clear on his return, as well as false claims of a return or claims of a failure to return.
You need to turn off Al-Jezzera and open your mind alittle.

Misinterpretation of the Bible mostly. They see Israel as God's chosen people of today. They don't understand that whomever chooses to be His servant is His chosen. Ethnicity has nothing to do with it anymore. The gospels plainly state that Israel, as a nation, is no longer the keepers of His grace. It goes on to state that whomever serves Him will become Israel (in a spiritual sense not literal).
The same people who support war over peace misinterpret obvious writings and teachings in the bible. Their misinterpretation has turned many away from God. It is very unfortunate yet was prophesied in the bible nearly 3000 years ago and repeated by Jesus a little less than 2000 years ago.

Israel is tthe land of God's chosen people. The Bible tells us if anyone is against Israel, God will be against them. The wording is mine but the meaning is the same. God will not allow israel to be destroyed so when russia, china, and any other country marches against israel you'd better hope you are right with god because the end of this age is upon us. If you aren't in the rapture then you will be left here to deal with the anti-christ Ah yea, the anti-christ will bring fake peace to the world . but don't get comfortable because all hell breaks loose and you will either accept christ or be beheaded and go to hell. the choice is yours. why not accept now and not be here to suffer.? Why not get right with god and leave this world before all the torture and starvation and pain ?

I think it's because it's just something else they can get angry about. They've been angry ever since the US Supreme Court desegregated schools, and the continued apartheid in Israel lets them relive the good old days of blocking school house doors lest integration happen.
EDIT: I also think it's because they see in Israel everything they wish the saw in the United States; an overtly religious state, militarism, segregation, mandatory military service, etc.
