You're mistaken, SO12G, God only killed the first-BORN children, not the fetuses. That's because God knows that abortion is wrong.

The fundamentalist pro-life motto is, "Respect for life. Up until birth."

It explains why the state should intervene to prevent an abortion, but should not intervene once the baby is born to provide it healthcare.

EDIT: I know, slavey, but it's my favorite rant. :)

There comes an hour in one's life where the nonsense is not good enough anymore. You are there.
When I think of my children, I would never think of killing one because they did something wrong. God's thoughts are higher than mine.
As the errors in the bible become known, then the spiritual significance of a verse is less hidden. The bible is by the human hand, but the truth behind is of God. God's ideas are eternal and perfect, so He has no need of creating death for perfection. It is our mortal sense of things that must die.
I am sure it will many, many years before those in this present age will be willing to admit that truth is really substance, and what seems to be is not, just as it is written (without the word.......) So now that we do see what is wrong, we can start looking at what is right. :)

so you think it's better for God's followers to suffer under the rule of the tyrants who beat the hebrew nation into submission.

It is a sin to stand by and not do something to help.

You see God has done things to shape early society. He smacked those who brutalized. Those who even spit in the face of God... But then before we could understand a better way,.. this may have been the only way people did understand.

Thus God sent Jesus Christ to introduce the new way. The Holy Spirit renews the soul. Heals past the calousness/indifference/uncarring attitude that allowed egeptions to build their empire off the backs of the hebrew naition.

But what you don't understand is evil has always tried to overrun masses of men. Thank God He has had to intervene to stop evil. As Christians, that is what we need to do today-through unity in prayer. Siding with satan against God is not going to bring any positive answers! The more you doubt God, the more power you give to satan, and the more evil that will overrun the earth! Why are some so blind? Satan is laughing at you and your remarks; God weeps.

abortion is terrible. when did God ever punish someone that has not sinned or was worthy of some punishment? he sent out plagues (in the old testament) b/c pharaoh was stubborn. Egypt suffered b/c of pharaoh. If you call God a murderer, that is heresy. God is just. People kill their unborn baby to hide the fact that they were irresponsible. There are few instances where the mother desperately wishes to kill her child to save her own life, but mostly, it's b/c of unwanted pregnancies due to irresponsibility. God is holy. He executes justice for his own holy purposes. People execute whatever they want for their own sinful reasons. tell me if i'm wrong.

Slave ,why focus on tearing down the Christian God?
All religions have aspects of them that most of us will not agree with. These religions were created by men in order to govern and control them.
The biggest mistake i find in religious thinking is when ''GOD''is given a human ''personality'' with a conscious '' decision making '' mind set!
How far fetched is that?
There are great powers at work in this universe, most of which we will never understand.
Everything is as it should be .

the Egyptians also slaughtered the innocent of the Isralites (it is not that God is unjust but that he is powerful to change lives what do you think death means to the everlasting God anyway?) what God did he did because Pharoh hardened his heart after more than one attempt of moses......God is sending a message to those of the future generation and has been for some time and it is this REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR....Jesus Christ the passover lamb was slain for the forgiveness of sin of all. God gave up His only son for the future generations...

Indeed. I'm glad you said "this" God, and not "that God".
I would also have christians to know there's a difference:

- this God: merciless ... Law: darkness, and not light
- that God: merciful ... Grace: light having no darkness

- this God: mega discomfort in law worketh wrath
- that God: no discomfort in the God of all comfort

To wit, "that God" was in Christ reconciling the world: 2Cor5

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Pharaoh refused to let the children of Isreal go. Sin brings judgement, all the firstborn that died went straight to Heaven, thats probably the only way any egyptians went to Heaven because they worshipped their Pharoah. Romans 6:23, says For the wages of sin is death. Thats pretty clear. Fortunately for us God sent his Son Jesus to die in our place and atone for our sins so that we might thru faith receive salvation by grace. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour he washes all our sins away and we are fit for the Kingdom of Heaven. Only thru faith in Jesus can we attain Salvation, we must confess our sins and turn our lives over to him, Have you ever confessed to Jesus you are a sinner? Will you admit you need a Saviour? When you see a Cross does it remind you of Jesus? Jesus said today is the day of Salvation, you canbe saved and born again right now, just pray this sinners pray believing a new life will begin, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

the people upon whom God sent this judgement were given every opportunity to repent of their sin and turn to God. God had enough of their hateful sinful hearts and he merely gave them what they wanted.

We still have the same opportunity to repent. God is patient with us humans and has been giving us every opportunity to repent and give our lives to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

if He wasn't patient we'd all be dead by now. look at the world. it's not a great place. there's something better out there.

this explaination may not be as concise as I would want it to be, but if you are willing to accept this, here is part of the answer, as I only have part of it.

The earth and everything in it is God's. He can do with it as he sees fit, and there is no one without sin. Judgment on one party while another is spared is his discression. We all discriminate, we all have favorites that we would help to win if we could. God can.

While the bible says God is not willing that any should perish, that does not mean that people will not perish. If we were in submission to the LORD, there would be no reason for him to slay us, but the consequences of serving him could be that someone else would kill us as a way to try to destroy his message on earth.

You ask a deep question, and I'm not telling you I can answer it fully. I can tell you that all of us live with the knowledge that we all shall die some day and we had best be ready. there is a price to be paid for serving Jesus and there is a price to be paid for serving someone else.

None of us want the thought police at our door, and for God to keep all of these things in the past and things now, like suicide bombers, natural disasters and so forth from happening, he would have to impose his iron will in our lives totally and without regard for, or respect for, the person so imposed on.

In this age, and ages past, we, as humans are allowed to do as we see fit. With that freedom comes responsiblity, accountability and we have to live with the condition we find ourselves in.

Can I change my condition, my health, my status, my hearing or my past? We chose to walk the path we see fit and best, whether a believer in Christ or another diety. we reap in our bodies that consequence and take into eternity our reward or our wages for our work.

Is it good that all these in the past died? from my perspective in the present (future) it would seem no. But I don't know what God knows about these people or why some died completely and others were spared.

I only know that i'm in the present, I trust Jesus to save me, because I am not worthy to even beg for mercy, and I trust that God will settle all debts on the last day as he has promised.

I know there are many people suffering. 14 years in a hospital as an OR tech, and I confess my anquish at infants that come in with birth defects that we try to fix. It bothers me beyond words, or children who's clothing caught on fire and burned them whom we tended, it still makes me cry if I think about it.

All I can tell you is to ask God himself to open your eyes to what is truth, and respond. He says, light accepted brings more light, if you respond, he is obligated by his own righteousness to reveal himself to you, or he is a liar.

I am, your servant
