The dictionary definition of a "myth" is a story that attempts to answer the important and eternal question about life and God. By definition, a myth can be true or false. It does not automatically mean a "false" story.

So the Bible does contains "myths" - that is stories that answer those eternal questions. But unlike many myth, they are true stories.

Yes, most of it is myth or metaphor. The Genesis story is similar to the Enuma Elish, a Sumerian creation story.

Egypt has several cosmogonies that credit a “self-generated” god with initiating creation. The three powers necessary for creation were Hu, divine utterance; Heka, magic; and Sia, divine knowledge.

Unlike the embellished stories of ancient Greek gods or Roman heroes, etc, the events recorded in the Bible are fact, not fiction.

Myths, as in parables told by Jesus. Yes.

They didn't happen, but he told them as a way to connect with all people.
