Anything can be ridiculed if there is a basis in someones mind for the ridicule. Political parties, football teams, countries, Royalty, different classes are all subject to ridicule. The gods are not exempt.

The invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Lots of folks ridicule what they don't understand, it's human nature. You should also know that many reject the Light, because it exposes their shame. Again, the need to ridicule this away seems important. It's easier than looking hard at ones self, and changing. Hardly 1 in 100 people have that strength, it seems. But I'm prone to exaggerate...

You don't follow a religion or not because it is cool or not cool, you do it because you truly believe it.
there will always be those who don't believe and ridicule those who do, don't let it get you down, its been that way since the beginning just stand for your beliefs and be true to them, don't harm anyone and you will do just fine. Peace

Check your data. They're losing power politically. Bush may attack Iran in a last-ditch effort to save the GOP, who invited the evangelicals into the party.
And if you can't take a joke, you, like the Muslims, must have very shaky faith.

the evangelicals and the fundies are not the ones being made fun of---they are the ones making fun of everyone else but the media loves to make fun of Catholics most especially---everyone likes to make fun of Catholics including the fundies.
