ur steering linkage could come apart at any time. 1 bad bump could be all it needs. once 1 side comes apart, u are now in 'passenger status'. u will have zero control over the car. once the investigators find that it had bad ball joints, u will be up for unsafe vehicle/defective equipment. this will make u 100% liable for all damages. pray u dont hit a biker...they will park u under the jail in certain states.

A complete loss of steering control accompanied by massive undercarraige damage. Upon cessation of motion of the vehicle, a towing vehicle is usually required to facilitate the removal of the incapacitated vehicle to a proper storage and repair (or salvage) facility. In some cases, the services of mobile emergency medical providers may be required to aid the injured operator of this poorly maintained motorized conveyance and provide transportation for the injured party or parties to a nearby medical care facility for evaluation and treatment.

At high speed it can lead to a major accident that could cause injury or death to others and yourself. Driving with bad ball joints can cause you more money later than to replace them now. when ball joints comes loose at high speed, not only them that needed to be replaced but also CV drive shafts, control arms. tie rod end and posibly a new front end suspension. This happened to me, lucky that i was only did 5 MPH. i had to replace ball joints and drive shafts.

If it breaks while driving, you will have no control of the steering. The wheel will lock up.
