Christianity has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day.

The invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.

And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever til the end of time!

BUT... he loves you

Why do people believe such garbage?

You are incorrect. Many believers don't subscribe to this nonsensical doctrine of the fundamentalist.

I don't know, why do people waste others time stating a question that an adolescent would propose. This is like theology 101. It shows a profound ignorance of christianity, and if other atheist out there feel the same way this person does you really don't get what you hate so much. "an invisible man" "ten things" and he doesn't have a special place. You know heaven and Hell are like this, if there was a wilderness were dangerous creatures lived and God built a house in the middle of this forest to be safe in and asked you to come in all you have to do is walk through the door, but you decide (you decide) to stay outside. Don't blame him for the wilderness. He built you a house to be safe in. What do you expect him to do, drag you in kicking and screaming. If you want to stay apart from him thats your prerogative. And in the spiritual world, being apart from God is were all the bad things exist and you are at their mercy, and that is hell. They have to exist somewhere ( I know you don't believe in evil spirits either). Don't believe all you want, its your choice but at least get what we believe straight before you ask antagonistic questions.

The Bible is not garbage, and I Pray that someday you will get a chance to know Christ, I do however have a question for you though, When you see a Cross on a hill or three Crosses in a row does it remind you of Jesus Christ? ............. If it has, I would reconsider your statement!! If your conscious has ever made you feel guilty I would reconsider your statement, I mean if there is no God then how could there be anything to feel guilty about. Right?? I mean a big bang is not going to give you something that makes you feel guilty, right?? Some say we came from monkeys or Apes, maybe they feel guilty and passed in on?? Think about it??

What you have described is not taught in the Bible. Christians are not under the 10 commandments today. (Romans 10:4)

All mankind are free agents and we can decide to serve God or not. The same as our freedom here in this country. If we committ a crime, we go to prison. If we fail to live by Bible standards, we will be destroyed.
