COPY AND PASTE USING THE MOUSE
Put the mouse at the beginning of what you want to copy and click the left mouse button, holding it down while you drag over the section.
Drag across or down. At the end of what you want copied, let go of the mouse button.
What you want to copy should be highlighted!
(If you goof, click the mouse button once to unhighlight, then start over.)
While it's highlighted, hold down the Ctrl key and hit the letter "c". This copies the highlighted part to an invisible clipboard.
Now go to where you want to paste it. Put the cursor on that spot by clicking the left mouse button once. Now hold down the Ctrl key and hit the letter "v" to paste what you copied.
If you want to move text from one place to another, highlight the text then hold down the Ctrl key and hit the letter "x". Click on the place you want to move it to, hold down the Ctrl key and hit the letter "v" to paste it in the new place.
(This cuts it from the original place, copies it to the invisible clipboard and then pastes it in the new place.)

With the mouse curser over what you want to deal with, press the right button on the mouse.
Some options will appear on the screen nearby.
Click on the word copy with the left mouse button.
Then go to where you want to put it, press the right mouse button again and the same sort of options appear. Left click on the word paste. That should do it.
Pressing teh keys Ctrl and the letter c at the sae time, and then using Ctrl and the letter v (same time again) does the same as the right mouse button stuff..

Select the items you want, if its text just click and drag until it becomes highlighted. If its files clicking and dragging from somewhere on the screen will create a box to drag over the files you want. Right click on the highlighted object and select paste or hold down Ctrl and press C. Then go to where you want to paste, right click and select paste or hol Ctrl and press V.
If this is what you're doing and it's not working then I have no idea.

Highlight whatever it is you wish to copy and paste by clicking and dragging over it. Right click once it is highlighted and a list will appear. Click on copy. Go to wherever you wish to paste. Right click again and then choose paste. This is a quicker method than using the edit menu.
If you wish to copy and paste within the same document, highlight the chosen text, press and hold control, then right click, drag and drop wherever you wish to put the text.

really simple
1. using your mouse, left click at the start of the text you want to copy, and then move right or left to highlight the text
2. when you're done highlighting, you can either right click and then click on copy, or do what most people do and push Ctrl + c (which is the keyboard shortcut for copy
3. then go to where you want to paste, left click in the area, and then again, right click and click on paste, or use the shortcut for paste which is Ctrl + v
good luck, its a really easy concept, and like everything else, practice makes perfect
