stem cells are undifferentiated cells. When needed the stem cells will undergo specific differentiation to form the required type of a specialized cell. they have great use in medicine.. now, and in the future, because doctors can actually implant the stem cells somewhere in the body to get them to be differentiated into new set of specialized cells which they can replace the damage or ill old cells.

Research is so important as long as someone or something is not being hurt. I think stem cell research is great and should gets lots of government funding. Many people can be helped through this. Scientist don't kill unborn fetuses to get the stem cells. They can get them from where a woman has just given birth I guess. If a child is miscarried, the Doctors should be allowed to collect the stem cells for research.

They already have stem cell treatments for leukemia and in bone marrow transplants. In the future they hope to use them to treat spinal cord injuries, other cancer, Parkinsons and many other diseases

stem cells have completely new, untarnished DNA and T cells which, if given properly, can eventually be a cure for cancer, AIDS, and tuberculosis because it provides new bone marrow and replaces mutated DNA but it is very very controversial
