How are the FACTS slanderous? They aren't...which is why they are considered FACTS. It is a FACT that many (Notice, I did not say ALL) were started in areas which illegal aliens are KNOWN to camp out. Coincidence? I think not.

Bekind...Thanks for the info..I WAS aware that they were thinking that arson was involved with a few of the fires, but I wasn't aware of power lines being involved with the others. Again, THANK YOU for answering the question.

Hander...I only watch FOX news if I need a laugh..or I need to vomit.
This question came from common sense that illegals are hiding in the areas around southern California (where the fires were mostly started) and nothing more than a realization that illegal aliens could very easily be the source of the fires.
They are not happy right now with the US and are ticked. They have also shown time and time again that they will lash out in the US when they are angry.

Smoky, I couldn't agree more with you. Something doesn't add up. Another question that I have with all of this is what nationality those truckers are that were involved with the California I-5 tunnel accident at the beginning of the month. They still have not released that info!

I do know that drug runners set fires on purpose to distract the border agents.

Woodland HILLS - As wildfires ripped through Southern California, a 41-year-old Sun Valley man was arrested on suspicion of arson after quick-thinking Woodland Hills residents allegedly saw him lighting a fire and called 911, police said this morning.
Woodland Hills residents saw a man lighting a fire then walking away about 4:30 yesterday on a hillside near Del Valle Street and Ponce Avenue. After calling police, the residents followed him to a restaurant and waited for police to arrive.
Police booked Catalino Pineda, a day laborer from Sun Valley, into the Los Angeles County Jail where he was being held on an arson charge. Bail was set at $75,000.
Pineda is a native of Guatemala. He is currently on probation for making excessive false emergency reports to law enforcement, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Valley Area detectives at (818) 374-7730. On weekends and after hours call the 24-hour Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAW-FULL (529-3855).

Two of the fires are definitely arson, possibly two others, and they are looking for a white pickup truck seen in the area. They think the rest were due to downed power lines from the high winds and high winds spreading the others.

Some of the fires were caused by arsonists, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the arsonists were illegal aliens. If that is true, the MSM will do its best to hide that fact. Don't expect Ricardo Sanchez on CNN to tell us that his precious illegal aliens started any of the fires.
You can review ALIPAC's William Gheen on the Neil Cavuto Show on Fox News. Gheen and Michelle Malkin review information about the immigration and border security issues in relation to the historic fires in California.

Fedup didn't make any slanderous accusations, she merely asked a question, which I have considered as well.

The fires were caused by the environmental wackos who blocked rules and laws and prevention actions that would have lessened the effects and damage of the fires. The global warming crowd put all that smoke into the air.

This is all informative to me and confusing in equal measure (star).
We preserve forests instead of chopping them down for fuel, then build electric power lines across them that fall down and set them on fire? Illegal immigrants are so relieved to be at last in a safe country that they burn their new homes down?
Conservationists prevent the removal of undergrowth that would stop fires spreading? Baffling!

It is disgusting that you are simply blaming illegals for everything bad that happens in America. This is very similar to Hitler, who blamed Jews for all the problems in Germany. I'm not supporting illegals, but I don't like them used as a scapegoat either.
The Malibu fire was started by a faulty power line, and the San Diego ones were mainly by electricity from Arizona. Only the OC ones are suspected arson, and there is no indication (as of this morning) that illegals were involved.

The fires are raging from north of San Francisco all the way into Mexico. Illegals had nothing to do with it. Some were caused by high winds bloowing powerlines around causing sparks. Some were caused by arsonists, but not necessarily illegals. The Santa Anna winds coming down from the mountains exacerbated the fires. Don't believe everything that Faux News tells you.

These fires were probably caused by mistake. Unlike the destruction of many churches and monasteries in Kosovo Metohija, which were destroyed savaged and vandalized on purpose.
