I would wait one year first year motors and G-37 might have a few teething problems. The 350Z is about bullet proof so far.

I own a 2007 350Z. Go with the 350Z. The 2009 350Z's are going to have the VQ37VHR 3.7L 330HP in them instead of the VQ35HR. And the mods for the 2007's are going to be out soon. The only thing is, the pre-07 350Z's are different from the 2007's in terms of engine(single air [2002-2006] vs. twin air [2007 - ?] intake, more horsepower, etc.) and other small details.

I would go with the G37 it's newer and you see 350's all over.
