There was this guy on tv that made a joke on how Marines always wear new balance sneakers. Is it true? why new balance?what about the other services?

Well I know at NAvy boot camp we were issued new balances...the Marines being in the Department of the NAvy probably get issued the same thing. Also since they are more strict and more about uniform they are probably forced to keep them and wear them. Us in the Navy throw them away as soon as we're out of boot camp

We received New Balance sneakers in boot too. I only wore mine until we were able to go and get any type of running shoes we brought with us for the PT Test.

I am in the Army but I can tell you that I prefer New balance to other shoes because they are very comfortable and tend to last longer then most running shoes I have come across.

Maybe that is what they were issued. I was issued a pair of Nike sneakers in bootcamp.

no way,they run in either plain old tennis shoes or preferably boots
