Okay so the other night we were lying on his floor and he told me he had taken some pain killers and then asked me if I have ever popped Lithium. I said, "nope".
He said, "man it's a total trip, some girl used to give them to me to pop."
Okay, what he doesn't know is the fact that I have bi-polar and I'm on medications already. He just revealed to me something very pertinent. See I know for a fact you can't just pop Lithium and get some kind of magical "high" from it. It takes weeks to get into your blood stream and for it to take effect.
So, why in the world would he ask me that? I think it's a bizarre thing to ask somebody when you are making out with them, etc.

Let me tell you also that this is a guy who had a brother die. He is now 27 years old and he told me that he has a big wall up. Has a hard time w/ intimacy I can see that.
Do you think this was his way of saying to me he has depression or something?

Didn't the doctor tell you that lithium should never given to any one else? Did he tell you the reason? It turns out that some people DO trip, but thats not the point here. He was just trying to relate, yes off topic, but why didn't you hit him with this "Hey buddy, wait a moment, I've been bi-polar for a while I KNOW about that lithium, I've took it no trip!" Just sort of be honest with him? I know your trying to impress but honest is how you get to the bottom of these things. He might of explain his experience better, you'd be able to say something about you. I know its tad big to throw the mental health history, but heck it has to be done at some point....
