This is a bit of a generalization, as I'm sure you'd find many Christians who would put Islam No. 1 on their to-do list.

However, to the degree to which your statement is accurate, I'd say that Christians who put Atheists higher on the agression list do so because we represent a much greater divergence from their worldview than Muslims do. Muslims believe in a good, omnipotent creator God, heaven, angels, etc., etc.

The distance between Allah and the Christian conception of God is not great or unbridgeable; it's really over the nature of salvation and sin (and the number of offspring of this particular deity). The atheist rejection of God is much more of an issue, from a Christian perspective, than the Islamic rejection of God's son.

i am not sure that is supported. the prevalence of Christianity in the western world could account for your perception. i am an atheist, but i believe that i am usually confronted by Christians more often than Muslims simply because there are more Christians around. i do believe there is something to be answered here though, and the answer is this: do not mistake presumptions for facts. do not treat dissent from popular belief with aggression, but treat it with a well reasoned, examined and sincere research and thought. do not let ignorance lead to hatred or aggression, let the want for sincerity compel us to greater understanding and communication.
didn't mean to sound preachy, but ignorance of all sorts will lead to aggression and only real discourse with other beliefs will halt or slow this aggression.

For your information,Christians are almost the only ones that bring up the Holocaust,I do not think Jews what to be reminded of Hitler every 5 minutes. The thing with Antisemitism is being over used a lot even if in the criticizing Israel, but then again mostly Christians use it,because they love Israel so much, and it has some thing to do with their Bible.

Same reasons as your last question.

A Muslim has a better chance of being elected in the USA than an atheist.

Christians fear atheists.

Depends on the Christian. Some of them can't even tolerate other denominations of Christianity, and seem to harbor equal animosity for everybody who doesn't go to their particular church. Others are truly accepting and open-minded people, in spite of the religion. There are plenty of examples of each on this board.

They know that atheists are probably correct in our non-belief in gods.
They realise that the Abrahamic religions are on very shaky ground both morally and factually so do not attack each other.

"how many christian do you see blowing themselves up in the name of the lord?"

Bad example. They are against suicide. The use of explosives, however, is not unheard of. Abortion clinics, government buildings, other denominations' churches (i.e. Northern Ireland)...

ADDENDUM

"The Muslims in this forum state their views politely and with reason and decency."

While peacefully sharpening their swords to take your head, plotting to blow up trains (Scotland) or to fly into buildings, etc... How gentile of them.

Don't stereotype me, please.
Just because the Christians you know are more aggressive than the Muslims you know does not mean every Christian is.
