The first time you meet someone, do you get a vibe about them?

I like you already ! But yes I do know what you mean...sometimes I will meet a person and just back off...yes it is the vibes. And then there are some folks you meet you just take to right away !

Usually, yes. Sometimes it's love at first sight, and other times it's keep your distance. First impressions can often be misleading, however, so I think everyone deserves a chance to be respected for who he or she is. You can end up liking someone you weren't too impressed with at first meeting, and by the same token, being taken in at first, but becoming disappointed as you get to know the person better. People usually show their true colors in time, so don't be misled by first encounters. As far as you are concerned, I don't know whether I'd like you or not, without getting to know you first..

Yes, definitely, but on rare occasions I have been proved wrong. I have to work with someone and I know for sure there are vibes of distaste between us as she puts on airs and graces and I am too down to earth, but we get on all right at work, and deep down I think out of work we would get on like a house on fire. The more we get to know each other the more we understand our differences. I think respect is creeping in and I think this is because deep down she is shy and so am I, but come across as happy go lucky which I am, but I am shy with people until I trust them, and this is the same with her. We are actually very alike. But usually, I know immediately what a person is like.

I met a gal on the internet back in 2001. I want to leave the the next day. She was so boring. But I was there for three days.To this day. I hardly talk to her on the phone or the computer lol

I'd say I have pretty good intuition about someone when I first meet them.
Others say that you base a lot of your opinions of someone based off of your first impression of them and you interpret their actions to fit into that opinion and thus subconsciously validate it

I sometimes do - but I will always give people the benefit of the doubt.
You never know what that person may be going through at that time.

80% of the time! When we first meet someone, notice how the "mind" wants to judge or describe or accuse. I offer you LOVE for "like" or "dis-like" is of mind and not my concern!
