I live in US and would like to post a new labtop to China.
As the computer is new, I think I need to pay some money for the export tax. But I don't know how much I need to pay, how and where can I pay it.
Is there any policy or statute for post something to China from USA?
THX!

There is no "export tax" but there probably is an import duty upon arrival in China. Your brother will have to pay that. Getting goods through customs in China is a royal pain in the backside. Frankly you'd do better to send your brother the money so that he could buy a laptop in China and avoid the expense and hassle.

Although there are some export restrictions of technology to various countries, China is not on the list of restricted countries. Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Iraq and countries such as that are on the export controls list.

the fees of things won't go up. to start with the selection of rules that have allowed company giants to head jobs foreign places have been so poorly structred, heavily lobbied, and corrupted via the corporate giants that whether the tax breaks have been to take result, the giants will nevertheless make funds. appropriate now they're making severe income. If the tax breaks take result it won't even harm them in any respect. do not overlook that it takes the working wages of many chinese language to even quantity to that of one working American. the products coming from China are of airborne dirt and dirt-undesirable wholesale expenditures yet our company giants tag severe income to it and make it costly right here or slightly unreasonably. we truly want some good rules for our unfastened marketplace eitherwise our country will proceed to make certain this style the place company giants are unfastened to roam international and dragging the rustic into severe commerce decifits with different international locations like China. because of the fact of our excessivelly poorly controlled markets, China now has us via the cameltoe with the trillions of greenbacks it holds in bonds. Our marketplace desires a significant overhauld.
