I have a sore throat and I have a warm forehead. I don't know if it's fever or not. I have a white layer covering my tongue. My tongue just about looks white. I can wipe it off and when I spit it looks like white spit. Earlier, I burped and I was bending over and some vomit came up. I've got a few chills. Abdominal pain. What is this? I have never had a white layer over my tongue. Is this scarlet fever? If it is, how long does it take for it to go away without medicine? What is it?

Is this a side effect of paper smoking?

Paper smoking? It could be that your mouth is just covered in bacteria from not being cleansed properly or it could be yeast, or thrush. The other symptoms are signs of an infection - whether viral or bacterial. Scarlet fever is usually associated with a red rash.

Probably flu. Treat the symptoms and in a week to 10 days, you'll much better. You did not vomit. The air you burped brought up a little stomach content, that's all.
