I was wondering if i can get an associates degree in nursing at a community college and then transfer to a UC to study business management while working as a liscenced vocational nurse at a doctor's clinic or nursing home. I want to get a 4 year degree in management aswell. would it be possible to achieve this in a 4 year span? Does anyone have experience from this? And also when i ask if this is possible i want to know if i can take transfer credit classes along with my AA degree classes. thank you for your help I'd very much appreciate it.

It is possible. Depending on the school and degree option you choose, it may take a bit more than 4 years. If your nursing school is regionally accredited your nursing school courses will transfer- many going towards gen. education science, English, social sciences, and math. The nursing courses and practicums would count as electives.
Generally speaking, you need 120 credits to graduate with a bachelors. 30 must be from your major, with 10 of those at the upper level. 60 are usually reserved for general education requirements and electives, and the remaining 30 as free electives.
Additionally, many universities are offering BS degrees in business, but with specializations. I went to such a school which also had a BS in nursing. I have several friends that were able to combine both and graduate in 4 years. If you look for a school that has 4 year degrees in both, you are more likely to get what you want in the least amount of time.

Here is a better option:
Forget being an LVN, get your RN degree (pay is almost double), and then complete an RN to BSN program at a school that also offers a double major in hospital administration.
Many LVN's and LPN's in certain areas are having more and more trouble finding jobs and even some hospitals are phasing them out. In some areas they are limited to nursing homes and other jobs that are hard to fill with an all-RN staff.
Yes, you can do that in a 4-year span, less if you go summers.

Your nursing degree will be with completely different requirements than with a business degree, and as such many of your courses, and credits will not transfer to the business degree. So it will most likely take more than an additional two to get the business degree.
